Import merchandise using a CSV file

If you switch from other platforms to allvalue, or you want to make many changes to goods or inventory, then importing goods through CSV is a convenient way. When importing, allvalue converts the data from the CSV file to the product. Before editing a CSV file, please refer to [CSV file description] (productcsv)

Import merchandise from other stores

If you have a CSV file exported from another store or from another source, make sure that the file is in the same format as the CSV file. If the format is inconsistent, such as a missing title, the import fails. Your product's CSV file size cannot exceed 15 MB. If you make an error when uploading a new CSV file, please check whether the file exceeds the size limit first.

Steps

  1. In the allvalue background, go to "Products >" product list "

  2. Click Import

  3. Click Add File and select the CSV file you want to import in the pop-up window

  4. Click Import

Import merchandise using a CSV file

If you want to use the CSV file to change the product, you need to export the product first (the export product function will be launched soon). You can update the CSV file and then import the updated CSV into the allvalue background.

    Steps:

  5. In the allvalue background, go to "Products >" product list "

  6. Click Import

  7. Click Add File and select the CSV file you want to import in the pop-up window

  8. Click the "override items with the same name" check box. This will override any data on allvalue. For columns not included in the CSV file, the commodity data remains unchanged. For example, suppose there is a CSV file that lists the commodity handle of sport and the commodity handle already exists in your allvalue store. The CSV file contains all the fields of the vendor, but the price column is missing. After uploading this CSV file to your store, all the values of sport will be replaced by the values in the CSV file, but the price field will remain unchanged.

  9. Click Import

Tip: if you encounter problems when uploading the CSV file, it is recommended to use Google Chrome browser
